27th Infantry, National Color. The flag was presented to the 27th PA regiment sometime after October 1861. It was taken by the Confederates on November 25, 1863 until recaptured on April 16, 1865. The 27th was composed of men entirely from Philadelphia.

1985.015 State Color Evans and Hassall v1p70
27th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Philadelphia, the 27th served from 1861 until 1864, receiving its colors on March 5, 1862. The regiment was mustered out of service on June 11, 1864.
